Basically what happened is this. A loose lipped Dev gets on twitter and states the truth that the PS4 version runs at a higher resolution. Microsoft's people call up EA and says "WTF, man!?" EA's top brass tells them that wasn't officially from them and they will handle the rogue dev with loose lips, hence the updated company quote.
